Astragalus - Astragalus is one of the most widely used immune tonifying herbs of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Studies have shown that Astragalus promotes anti body production and is also an antioxidant to neutralise free radicals in the body which cause sickness and disease and in particular is used as a lung tonic and may be helpful in increasing resistance against respiratory infections.

Cat’s Claw - According to legend, the Inca Indians have been using the bark or the underlying bast and roots for thousands of years to produce natural medicines against infections and chronic inflammation. Biochemists attribute the healing effect to the indole and oxindole alkaloids, polyphenols and terpenoids. With these predominantly toxic substances, the plant apparently protects itself from the attacks of the fungi, viruses and bacteria omnipresent in the humid tropical forest. In humans, these substances have immunostimulating, antiviral, antibacterial, antifungal, antiparasitic, anti-inflammatory, analgesic, mild anticoagulant and antihypertensive effects.

Echinacea - Numerous clinical trials have been carried out on echinacea and it appears that it shortens the duration and severity of colds and other upper respiratory infections when given as soon as symptoms become evident.

Hawthorne Berry - Hawthorne Berry is a heart tonic and has powerful antioxidants. As our heart space is our energetic centre, it’s important to clear any stagnation and blockages as this can prevent disease.

Lemon Balm - Lemon balm is an antiviral and antimicrobial herb.

Siberian Ginseng - The active ingredients in Siberian ginseng, called eleutherosides, stimulates the immune system. Siberian ginseng was traditionally used to prevent colds and flu and to increase energy, longevity, and vitality. It is widely used in Russia as an adaptogen. An adaptogen helps the body adapt to stress, both physically and mentally.

Tulsi - Tulsi is the Queen of Ayurvedic herbs as an antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral, adaptogenic, neuroprotective, radioprotective, antioxidant, decongestant and antidepressant. Tulsi is believed to promote long life and is taken as an elixir to promote balance and resilience to all of life’s challenges. It is calming yet uplifting.
