Yin Organic Herbal Tea is formulated for energetic balancing of Yin qi.
Yin is a Taoist concept where every living thing is sustained by a balance of two opposing forces of energy (qi), known as yin and yang which flows through the body via energy highways, called meridians. Half of your organs are governed by yin (mostly the internal organs) with the other half by yang energy. In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) a balanced qi is vital to good physical and mental health.
Yin Organic Herbal Tea assists to loosen qi stagnation, promote qi circulation and restore harmony to the meridians and internal yin organ channels which are often disrupted by a range of emotional, physical and environmental factors.
It can be consumed anytime, but may be best consumed before, during or after your yin yoga practice. It is a gentle blend that will leave you feeling restored and rejuvenated.
Yin Organic Herbal Tea combines Alfalfa, German Chamomile, Lavender, Nettle, Sage and Sarsaparilla root.
The properties of the herbal formula are:
Alfalfa - Supports the entire gastrointestinal system gently by aiding digestion and stimulating normal elimination of excess toxins and helps alkalise the body. It has a neutralising effect on the body's energy. It is affiliated with the spleen, stomach and kidney meridians.
German Chamomile - Circulates qi, releases qi stagnation, tones the liver and strengthens the stomach. It is a herb that is associated with regeneration, healing and protection. German Chamomile is affiliated with the lungs, heart and stomach meridians. In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) the heart is believed to store the spirit, and the lungs are believed to be a key part of the production chain for qi and the fluids that nourish the body.
Irish moss - Has a neutralising effect on Yin Qi.
Lavender - Lavender clears heat (yang) energy and expels toxicity. It circulates qi energy and purifies the body and spirit. It is essentially a draining herb that disperses, relaxes and cools (anti inflammatory). Lavender is affiliated with the heart, pericardium, lungs and kidney meridians.
Nettle - Has a cleansing action on the body (and all meridians) by clearing heat (yang qi) and promoting elimination via urination or bowel movements. In TCM the liver is often referred as the body's "general" because it is in charge of regulating the movements of qi and body fluids. It also takes a leading role in balancing our emotions. Nettle is affiliated with the liver meridian.
Sage - Has spirit and qi (energy) cleansing properties. It increases qi, enhances immunity and restores the uterus and sacral chakra. Sage is affiliated with the heart, pericardium and liver meridians.
Sarsaparilla root - Is classified as one of top-grade ingredients in health regime and disease prevention and treatment. It is also known to prevent women from gynaecological diseases, especially gynaecological inflammation. Like Alfalfa, it has a neutralising effect on the bodies energy (yin/yang neutral). Sarsaparilla root is affiliated with the liver and stomach meridians.
